‘World’s coolest’ neighborhood for 2022 named a ‘coolest’ in all of Los Angeles County
There are a lot of ‘cool’ places in L.A. County, but one is particularly special and a little wild.
A new neighborhood in Santa Monica known as the ‘World’s Coolest Neighborhood in LA,’ is being dubbed as America’s Next Great Neighborhood. It’s also one of the coolest places in the entire state of California.
The neighborhood, which is one of three in Santa Monica with a population of over 8,000, has garnered a lot of attention for its small-town feel on the beach.

It’s also one of the coolest places in the entire state of California.The neighborhood, which is one of three in Santa Monica with a population of over 8,000, has garnered a lot of attention for its small-town feel on the beach.
And the ‘cool’ factor has helped it make the list of America’s Best Small Places, which features just two other neighborhoods in the city, according to the National Park Service.
One of the most well-known of the three is the Santa Monica Mountains, which is home to some of L.A. County’s most famed restaurants, shops, bars and hotels.
The other is the Westlake neighborhood, which is known for being the epicenter of the city’s music and art scene.
As part of the America’s Next Great Neighborhood initiative, local officials are hoping to turn the ‘World’s Coolest’ neighborhood into one of the 10, with a population of over 8,000.
In total, there are 10 cities and towns on the list:
